The Multimedia & Web Design course was an amazing experience. It reminded me a lot of a similar course I took for my Masters at another university. Very engaging and exciting to learn about virtual reality and online classrooms. The professor for this course, Dr. Cain, was very helpful and understanding.
During this course, I was able to play around with creating my own website from scratch. Learning the different codes to use when creating a website was very enlightening. At first I was a bit unsure on how I would do, but once I got the hang of it, the creative juices started to flow. By the end of the course I was able to create a web quest for my 2nd grade writing class. My students also had a great time using the laptops during their writing blocks!
Reading on web 3.0 tools and implementing the new tools I learned about was satisfying to my knowledge of the web 2.0 tools I learned about previously. The field experience during this course was great as well. I was able to have a better understanding of how technology can help students with a disability. During this time, I worked with a school who had a hearing deficit and while working with him, my teaching skills improved through working the classroom to reassure all students were positively effective from my learning.
