Chrissia Haughton
My name is Chrissia Haughton, and I am in the Master's or Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Spring 2017 and will graduate Summer 2018. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a BacheIor's degree in education. Immediately after graduation, I began substitute teaching in elementary schools in Cobb County. After one year of teaching at the elementary school level, I moved to Taiwan and taught conversational English in the middle schools. From there I returned to Cobb County and taught first grade for three years at Riverside Primary.
I currently teach second grade writing at KIPP STRIVE Primary in south west Atlanta. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach. I plan to continue with my education by pursuing my doctoral degree in Instructional Technology at KSU.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
