During this course, I learned so much about my school and myself.
This course allowed me to venture out into my coaching skills and view my school in a different light. The SWOT analysis was very interesting to perform. I was able to identify what my school has and what is needed to improve areas of technology. This was very engaging and throughout this course I was able to share my findings with members at my school and the region.
Seeking out a Shared Vision was a bit challenging since every school in the region is free to have their own vision, but may lack the appropriate skills to follow through the vision. Lots of set back occurred because of doubts and unknown. Because I am a new team member to the school I believe trust must be built first in order to feel more comfortable executing new skills. During this course I have managed to build great relationships with others and trust that my work will slowly manifest once the appropriate members arise to help with the vision.
Reading several research on Action Plans and how to execute them was very interesting. I really enjoyed reading the assigned reading to learn more about each task that helped with each assignment. I learned that making moves towards a goal takes lots of time. Stakeholders must feel confident in the work they facilitate in order to see small or big changes. I learned that seeking out the right people for certain task can help a goal manifest.
Lastly, I really learned a lot about the importance of data and how it truly benefits schools improvement. I'm eager to learn more and hopefully am able to see an entire process through.
